Meet Frederick
Every world needs a way in. Ours is a pug.
Frederick is the smallest member of 107 Stable and, we think, the perfect narrator — because he’s the newcomer too. He didn’t grow up around horses; he arrived, blinked up at two enormous new friends, and had to work the whole thing out from scratch. Which is exactly how a lot of us feel about the horse world when we first meet it.
So the stories will mostly be his stories: the arena from ankle height, the mystery of why the big ones get so much breakfast, the very serious business of supervising a dressage test from the sidelines.
